Head Coach - Gage Daley
My name is Gage Daley, and this is my third year here at Lawrence County coaching baseball. Before coming here, I coached at Copiah Academy as well as working for the University of Southern Mississippi baseball team and a summer travel ball team out of Hattiesburg. I am a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi. I will be receiving my master’s degree from Mississippi College this December. I was born and raised here and currently stay in Monticello with my wife, Scarlet, and our one-year-old son, Jackson. We’re expecting another addition to our family this January, a daughter. I love this area, school, and program and am excited to watch it continue to grow and improve.
Assistant Coach - Bradley Blair
Bradley Blair is a 2002 graduate of Simpson Academy. He attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College, earning an Associate’s degree in 2004. He then attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Coaching and Sports Administration in 2006. Coach Blair continued his education by earning a Master’s degree from the University of Kentucky in Kinesiology and Health Promotion with an emphasis in Sports Leadership. Currently, Coach Blair is pursuing his Master of Arts in Teaching – Secondary Teacher Alternate Route from Mississippi State University.
Coach Blair brings many years of experience to Lawrence County. He looks forward to continuing to grow the Cougar Baseball program, making his players not only better athletes but also better people.
Assistant Coach - Marcus Kees
My name is Marcus Kees and I am a passionate and driven baseball coach entering my second year of coaching, I am dedicated to player development and leadership. I was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi, and raised in Monticello, I have deep roots in this community and a strong sense of purpose in my work. I earned my associate degree from Southwest Community College and also studied at Hinds Community College. Currently, I am furthering my education with the goal of expanding my impact in the world of sports and mentorship. Outside of coaching, I’m a proud father of two, a daughter and a son, and recently got engaged to my longtime girlfriend. Whether it’s on the field or at home, I will always brings the same energy, focus, and heart to everything I do.
