Ms. Candace Sandifer- 9th and 10th Grade Counselor

Ms. Candace Sandifer serves as the counselor for Lawrence County High School’s freshman and sophomore students. She brings 22 years of experience in education, 21 of which have been dedicated to Lawrence County High School. Prior to becoming a school counselor, Mrs. Sandifer spent 20 years in the classroom as a teacher, where she built strong relationships with students and families and developed a deep understanding of student needs.

A proud Lawrence County High School graduate, Mrs. Sandifer is a member of the Class of 1999. She earned her associate degree from Copiah-Lincoln Community College in 2001, her bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University in 2004, and her master’s degree in counseling from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2023.

Mrs. Sandifer is the proud mother of Kennedy and Abby and a devoted pet parent to her Yorkie, Opie. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending quality time with family, and enthusiastically supporting the Mississippi State Bulldogs—through every season.
