Head Coach - Candice McDuffey
Bio
Candice McDuffey, a proud native of Newhebron, MS, is a 2010 graduate of Lawrence County High School. She began her college journey at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, earning an Associate’s Degree in 2012. She then attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Education with a minor in Sport Coaching in 2015.
Coach McDuffey later advanced her education by earning a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Jackson State University in 2022. With ten years of teaching and coaching experience, she is dedicated to developing student-athletes both on and off the court.
As a former Cougar herself, Coach McDuffey is passionate about giving back to her alma mater and building on the tradition of excellence at Lawrence County. She looks forward to continuing to grow the Lady Cougar Basketball program and making a lasting impact in her home community.

Bio
Assistant Coach - Camryn Davis
A native of Monticello, MS, Camryn Davis is a former Lady Cougar and 2018 graduate of Lawrence County High School. As a senior, she led her team to the 2018 4A MHSAA Girls Basketball State Championship, the first in the school's history. She continued her academic and athletic career at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, where she played for the women’s basketball team and earned an associate’s degree in 2020.
Davis later joined the women’s basketball program at Delta State University, completing a bachelor's degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation with a minor in Coaching in 2022. Coach Davis brings a calm, steady presence, and an encouraging voice to the program, supporting player growth and success both on and off the court.
