Mark Guion

I'm Mark Guion. I've been the head Band Director at Lawrence County High School for 16 years. I graduated from Yazoo City High School in 1982 and began courses at Holmes Community College. I continued to pursue my degree at Delta State University, and graduated in 1988 with a  Bachelor's of Music Education degree. My primary instrument is saxophone.
During my years as a band director, I worked at the Brevard Music Center in North Carolina, serving as the Activities Director and Dean of Men. I have taught in public schools in Mississippi, Tennessee, and North Carolina. I have served as an adjudicator for marching and concert contests as well as Lion's Band tryouts. I was the recipient of the 2018 Band Director of the Year for the Southwest Mississippi Band Director's Association.
In my free time, I enjoy fishing and spending time with my grandchildren, Kyleigh and Hunter.
