Welcome

Hello, 

My name is Wakeshia Cole. I am starting my 14th year with Lawrence County School District. I have served as a facilitator, teacher, interventionist, and I am now beginning my second year as Lawrence County High School Academic/Guidance School Counselor. I am excited to serve our students at Lawrence County High School. I am looking forward to a great school year!

 

I am a 1995 graduate of Lawrence County High School. I attended The University of Southern Mississippi and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education in 2009. I also attended William Carey University and earned a Master of Education in 2012, and a Master of Science in School Counseling in 2019.  

 

I am a proud mother of two young men. Travaris (T-Tez) Cole is 22 years old, a former graduate of LCHS were he played football and baseball for 4 years during 2012-2016. He is now a student athlete of Alcorn State University playing baseball, and will be graduating in December 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Science. Tavius (Tae) Cole is 17 years old, a senior here at LCHS were he has been a successful student and 3-sport athlete (football, basketball, baseball) for 3 years, this year he will only play football and baseball. He plans is attend JUCO and major in Welding. 

 

I am a member of Monticello First Baptist Church were I serve as the Director of the Sound Room. I have been a member for 25 years. 

 

I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping, and traveling.
